The short version
Guildlings reads what your coding agents write on your own disk and draws it on your own screen. It has no account, no telemetry and no analytics. The only request it ever makes to us is a licence check, and only if you have bought Plus.
What stays on your machine
All of it lives under %USERPROFILE%\.guildlings\ and never leaves:
- Your settings — theme, language, which monitors, hotkeys.
- Remote server details: host, username and port. Never a password and never a private key — the app refuses to prompt for either, and relies on the ssh keys you already have.
- The usage ledger: dates, token counts, tool names, model names, and the last segment of a repository path. Never a prompt, never a full path, never a command line.
- Your licence key and the last answer we got about it.
What leaves your machine
One thing. If you have entered a licence key, the app asks Polar whether it is valid — when you enter it, when the app starts, and about once a day. That request contains the key and nothing else.
If you check for updates, your computer fetches a file from GitHub, exactly as a browser would. There is no beacon, no crash reporter, and no "anonymous usage statistics".
When you buy
The purchase happens on Polar, our merchant of record. They take your payment details and your email; we receive an order record and never see a card number. Polar's privacy policy covers that half.
Your data, your delete key
Deleting %USERPROFILE%\.guildlings\ removes everything the app has ever kept
about you. There is no copy on our side to ask us to delete, because there is no copy.
If the optional cloud sync is ever built, it will be opt-in, it will upload numbers only, and this page will say so before it ships.
